FLAMENCO FESTIVAL REELS -  JEREZ  &  FLAMENCO NÓMADA
For a decade and counting, we have been exploring the visual culture of flamenco through motion, transforming festival posters into dynamic audiovisual pieces that resonate with both tradition and contemporary expression. Born from two distinct yet related contexts — the Festival de Jerez, rooted in centuries-old flamenco heritage, and Flamenco Nómada, a nomadic festival bridging cultures in Geneva — this series reimagines festival graphics as living visual narratives. Rather than illustrating information, the animations reveal atmosphere, rhythm, and gesture inherent in flamenco itself. Drawing from the graphic identity of both festivals, Daniel Diosdado extends the original posters into immersive universes rich with texture, movement, and symbolic detail. Alba Motion then shapes these worlds through animation, pacing, and sound design, allowing visual elements to emerge as part of a fluid, emotive experience. Across years of collaboration, our reels have gradually evolved into a visual dialogue with the art form — reflecting both the communal pulse of flamenco and its evolving presence in international cultural scenes.
